Please read carefully and be ready when you arrive.
We're sure that you've heard this a lot lately, but safety IS our first priority. Whether you perceive the danger or not, the world is in the middle of a pandemic. Precautions aren't meant to be convenient, they are meant to be effective; do your part.
-Eight foot distancing will be enforced. (Positions marked on the floor are EIGHT feet apart) . Masks are required for all students and instructors.
-We will keep doors open to allow air to enter during classes. We have a CO2 monitor so we can ensure that there is enough fresh air. Karate “yells” are suspended.
-Students who have any signs of illness, will not be permitted in the class. (If you have a cough/sneeze due to allergies, let the sensei know).
-Students are encouraged to arrive in uniform, no more than five minutes before your class starts. There won’t be a waiting area, and the downstairs bathrooms will be closed to reduce traffic. News Updates will be sent in an email.
-When entering the foyer, wear a mask and stay to the right; when exiting, stay to the right. Only stop in the foyer to take off your shoes or hang up your coat. No conversations, please! Once inside, stay eight feet apart. We recommend owning at least two cloth masks…wash between uses.
-Hand sanitizer will be available (and mandatory) for all students entering and leaving the dojo. Hand sanitizer will be available IN the dojo (we have TWELVE bottles available around the room). Use it before and after handling equipment, or working on defense techniques where there is any hand contact.
-If you forget your mask, we have disposable ones available.
Things are always changing, so check the website frequently under "News, Events, Holidays".
